Creative Writing & Publishing
Books are coming back. Despite new technology and the rise and fall of Kinder, the truth is that New Zealanders love to read, and they love to read well written stories that provoke their intellect, their emotion and their imagination.
The Message's Michael Laws is an outstanding, award winning writer.
Three of his books have been published – fiction and non-fiction – and every one of them has been a bestseller. In fact, one of his titles sold over 35,000 copies nationally, as well as overseas, and topped the bookselling industry's Bestseller List for six straight weeks.
He has also been a national newspaper columnist for over a decade ('Sunday Star-Times') and written front cover investigative news stories for 'North & South' magazine and the 'Sunday News'. He has written scripts for both television and radio, having his own daily and weekly shows.
A graduate of the internationally famous Manhire Masters group, he has also attained a Masters degree from Victoria University in creative writing.
His publishing imprint – Darius Press – was a successful niche publisher with a range of titles from rugby books to poetry.
